PART 1 - INTERPRETATION

3.00 Definitions

3.01 In this Bylaw:

  1. Unless expressly provided for elsewhere within this bylaw the provisions of the 
    Interpretations Act (RSY 2002, c. 125) shall apply;
  2. "Bylaw Enforcement Officer" means a person employed by the City of Dawson to 
    enforce bylaws;
  3. “CAO” means the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Dawson;
  4. “city” means the City of Dawson;
  5. “council” means the council of the City of Dawson.

PART II - APPLICATION

4.00 Zoning Bylaw

4.01 The following schedules attached hereto are hereby made a part of this Bylaw and form the components of the Zoning Bylaw:

  1. Schedule A (Zoning Bylaw Text);
  2. Schedule B (Zoning Map – Valley, Confluence and Bowl);
  3. Schedule C (Zoning Map – Historic Townsite);
  4. Schedule D (Heritage Management Map – Valley, Confluence 

PART 3 - FORCE AND EFFECT

5.00 Severability

5.01

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this bylaw is for any reason 
held to be invalid by the decision of a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalid portion 
shall be severed and the part that is invalid shall not affect the validity of the remainder 
unless the court makes an order to the contrary.

6.00 Bylaw Repealed

6.01

Bylaw 12-27 and its amendments (13-10, 13-11, 14-01, 14-08, 14-09, 14-16, 15-15, 16-
01, 16-02, 16-08, 16-10, 16-11, 17-01, 17-03, 2017-14, 2018-02) are hereby repealed.

7.00 Enactment


7.01

This bylaw shall come into force on the day of the passing by council of the third and 
final reading.
