In 2022, the City of Dryden completed a comprehensive business gap analysis that focused on the retail and service industry. The analysis provides an in
depth review of the opportunities that are present in Dryden and demonstrates thorough research regarding Dryden's retail trade deliniation area.
These are the Top 6 Priority Ranked Gaps that have been derived from the plan:
- Sporting Good Store - this could include cycling, skiing, outdoor equipment, and clothing.
- Accommodations - the municipality needs additional fixed roof accommodations to meet current and future projected demand.
- Full-Service Restaurants - the municipality is in need of more full-service eating and drinking establishments.
- Recreational Vehicle Dealership - Dryden is an outdoor destination and there are currently no sales and service options for RV's (Campers).
- Multi-use Entertainment Facility - Dryden is in need of multi-use entertainment facilities (movie theatre, arcade, family friendly entertainment).
- Rental Operator for Outdoor Equipment - the municipality is seeking tourism businesses that offer a suite of outdoor recreation rental equipment.
